Process Manager

Job Location: Perth

Working on a wide scope of challenging design and construction projects, our team is supported by an engaged leadership group and experts in all stages of the project lifecycle to help inform better outcomes and greater ROI for our clients.

Responsibilities

As Process Manager you will be a key pillar of our leadership group responsible for developing and managing a team of professionals involved in the design and construction of minerals processing, hydro metallurgical and materials handling projects in Australia and overseas.

This role will suit a qualified Metallurgist or Chemical Engineer with 20+ years’ experience in the design, commissioning and operation of process plants across a broad range of commodities (including base metals processing). Extensive experience in developing proposals, test-work programs, flow-sheet design, CAPEX/OPEX estimation and schedules for new projects. Previous study management experience is also welcomed.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Management of the Process business unit with the Project Design group
  • Manage the incorporation of safety in design principles in all work aspects
  • Develop process deliverables
  • Provide off-project principal review of process deliverables
  • Manage studies and smaller site projects
  • Willingness to travel to regional and remotes sites as and when required
  • Up to nominally 25% of time to be dedicated to developing client relationships and business development
  • Adhere to all CPC Engineering and CPC Project Design policies, systems, procedures and quality management requirements

Skills and Experience

  • Degree qualified Metallurgist or Chemical Engineer
  • 20+ years experience in the design, commissioning and operation of process plants across a broad range of commodities
  • Accustomed to a high level of client interaction Study management experience
  • Strong computer literacy skills within a Microsoft office environment
  • Extensive experience in developing proposals, test-work programs, flow-sheet design, CAPEX/OPEX estimation and schedules for new projects
  • Entrepreneurial in nature and look to actively contribute to initiatives for new business opportunities
  • Innate attention to detail, excellent grammar, spelling and punctuation and formal technical report writing skills
  • Willingness to travel to regional and remotes sites as and when required
